EFT tapping for cravings

If you struggle with cravings for certain foods, EFT tapping is an incredibly effective tool for reducing these cravings.

Often cravings may have an emotional root cause behind them, whether it is self-soothing after a stressful day, escaping boredom or compensating for feeling unloved or unsupported. With EFT tapping, we access the feeling that is causing the craving, tap on it, and remove the trigger for that personal craving.

Examples of common limiting beliefs that clients work on include:

  • “I am addicted to sugar/chocolate/crisps.”

  • “This food makes me feel better when xxx.”

  • “I feel so guilty when I eat xxx.”

  • “I have a strong craving for this food after meals.”

  • “This food helps distract me from feeling bored.”

  • “This food helps me feel less anxious or stressed.”

  • “I feel like something is missing if I don't have this food.”

  • “This food tastes amazing and I find it hard to stop eating it.”
