EFT tapping for anxiety
Anxiety can come in many forms such as generalised anxiety or anxiety around specific situations such as public speaking or negative events happening.
Studies have found that EFT has been shown to significantly lower cortisol levels, which is the stress hormone. Tapping does this by creating new neural pathways in our brain while simultaneously regulating our nervous system to help us feel more calm and centred.
In tapping 1-2-1 sessions, common limiting beliefs that clients may want to work on include:
“I can’t stop feeling stressed.”
“I can’t stop worrying about xxx.”
“I feel very anxious when xxx happens.”
“I can’t control my anxiety.”
“I might lose control.”
“I feel scared of this fear of xxx.”
“I’m afraid xxx might happen.”
Tapping allows our nervous system to safely process the anxiety in our body as well as helping change the thoughts that come with the anxiety. The latest research shows clinical EFT resulted in a 40% decrease in anxiety and a 35% decrease in depression*.
